Summary:

The work schedule for this position is:



  • Full Time (40 hours per week)

Duties

Performs loading and unloading of vehicles to deliver and pick-up furniture, appliances and equipment to residences, offices, and to the Warehouse. Maintains warehouse segregated by agency and in a safe, clean, and organized manner for daily operation. Sets up official events on the compound, designated residences and outside venues. Works on auction preparation and assists during Property annual inventory. Separates cargo for Mission Brazil Consolidated Warehousing and Transshipment. Operates motor vehicles and forklift.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:  Loading and unloading of trucks, or a combination of warehousing and/or laborer experience is required.


JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Must have general knowledge of loading, unloading, and lifting practices and techniques and warehouse operational procedures. Must    be familiar with local traffic laws, traffic patterns and any changes, regarding local traffic legislation. Must be familiar with automatic transmission, power steering, minor repairs, fuel injection, anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and 4- wheel drive systems. Must know how to operate forklift – both fixed-wheel and 180-degree models.

Education Requirements:

Completion of secondary (high) school required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Level III (good working knowledge) in speaking/reading/writing Portuguese is required. Level I (rudimentary Knowledge) in speaking /reading/writing English is required.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Must be able lifts 50 pounds (approx. 22 kilograms). Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to provide good customer service. Ability to operate a forklift to load and unload merchandise within the Warehouse space. Skills associated with operation of motor vehicles to transport cargo and passengers, including safety procedures. Ability to prepare basic written reports. Ability to maintain a valid category D driver’s license.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
