Summary:

The work schedule for this position is Full Time (40 hours per week).

Duties

The incumbent of this position provides an administrative support to the Recruitment Team in the Human Resources Office (HR), which handles recruiting for the four constituent posts that make up Mission Pakistan. Incumbent performs variety of duties to support the Locally Employed (LE) Staff recruiting process. S/he schedules all skills tests for an average of 900 candidates and interviews for an average of 450 candidates each year. Also prepares pre-employment documents and arranges medical and security screening for all selected candidates. Prepares all memoranda needed in the recruiting process and enters all required recruiting data into requisite tracking sheetsAssists in the screening of job applications when required Incumbent provides the administrative and logistical support that enables the Recruitment Team to find the best qualified talent and fill vacancies across Mission Pakistan. 

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years of clerical experience is required. Six months of this experience must be in a Human Resources Office.


JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have good knowledge of general office operations and procedural requirements pertaining to functions performed in the Human Resources Office. Must have knowledge to track data into designated tracking records.

Education Requirements:

Completion of Higher Secondary School (12 years of education) is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Level III (good working knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking of English and Level IV (Fluent) Reading/Writing/Speaking of Urdu are required. English language skills will be tested.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be computer literate (MS Office, Word, Excel and Access). Be able to multi-task and set priorities. Incumbent must be able to maintain confidentiality. Computer skills may be tested.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Islamabad may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.


For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.

ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA:


1. Management may consider any of the following when determining successful candidacy: nepotism, conflicts of interest, budget, and residency status.


2. Current OR employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply. Current OR employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report (EPR) are not eligible to apply.


3. Current NOR employees hired on a Family Member Appointment (FMA) or a Personal Service Agreement (PSA) are not eligible to apply within the first 90 calendar days of their employment, unless they have a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.


4. The candidate must be able to obtain and hold the local security certification.


5. Candidates who are EFMs, USEFMs, AEFMs, or MOHs must have at least one year remaining on their sponsor’s tour of duty to be considered eligible to apply for this position.


6. Current employees who have voluntarily been reassigned/promoted from one position to another are not eligible to apply for six months from the effective date of the reassignment/promotion.


7. U.S. Mission Pakistan will not bear any travel expenses for testing, interviews, pre-employment clearances (if selected) or relocation for joining.
