Summary:

The work schedule for this position is:



  • Full Time (44 hours per week)


Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (90 days) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Frequent travel to provide driving for high level visitors and American Officers to various provinces and in Ho Chi Minh City.

Duties

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:  Must have at least two years of professional driving experience.

Education Requirements:

EDUCATION: Completion of secondary school (grade 12) is required.

KNOWLEDGE: Must know how to operate and perform minor maintenance on passenger vehicles and trucks.  Must be knowledgeable of host country traffic laws, city traffic patterns, streets, locations of major buildings and government offices.

LANGUAGE: 


Limited Knowledge Level Speaking/Reading/Writing of English is required.  


Good Working Knowledge Level Speaking/Reading/Writing of Vietnamese is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 


Must be able to maneuver vehicles through streets safely, deliver passengers and materials expeditiously and safely, and perform minor maintenance on passenger vehicles and trucks.  Must have a valid Vietnamese category D driver’s license valid for both passenger vehicles and trucks [please upload valid driver's license].

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.


For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
