Summary:

The work schedule for this position is:

Duties

Basic Function of the Position – The incumbent receives and direct local, long-distances and international calls, provide authorized information to caller; operates Nortel Communication Server 1000E multiple console switchboard (CS1000E).  S/he Performs other duties as directed by supervisor, IMS, IPO and ISO.  Additionally, incumbent will cross train in mail room operations.


 

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of work experience in telephone switchboard operations is required.


JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Good knowledge of Nigeria postal rules and post organization is required.

Education Requirements:

 



  • Completion of Secondary School or  received high school diploma

Evaluations:

This may be tested.


LANGUAGE:  Level III (Good working knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing in English in required.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Ability to work and deal effectively with others, both on the phone and in person is required. Must be able to lift 40 pounds weight easily.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.

The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service.  Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.
