Summary:

The work schedule for this position is Full Time (40 hours per week)

Duties

Serves as the security assistance assistant (Office of Security Cooperation Assistant) and budget analyst for the Office of Security Cooperation (OSC). Performs a complete range of Host Nation coordination, administrative and budgeting tasks. Assists with agency accountability procedures and assists facilitate tactical, operational, and strategic level engagements for the agency. On occasion, will be expected to travel and be part of the agency's engagements. Supervision is conducted by the Security Assistance Manager.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience working in the Malian government at the ministry level or served in the Malian Armed Forces.


JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Be familiar with DoD and DoS procedures, manuals, and regulations. Have an understanding of host nation political, military systems, regulations and customs.

Education Requirements:

High School degree is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: 


English: Able to use the language fluently and accurately, making only minor errors of pronunciation and grammar.  Able to conduct all work in English.  Almost as proficient in English as in your native language. "This may be tested"


French: Able to use the language fluently and accurately, making only minor errors of pronunciation and grammar.  Able to conduct all work in French.  Almost as proficient in French as in your native language. "This may be tested"


Bambara: Able to speak the language fluently and accurately.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Computer experience, specifically working with Microsoft Office platforms (Excel, Word, Power Point); Database management; Excellent communications skills; Excellent work ethic; Must possess host country driving license.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Bamako/Mali may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.


For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
