The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)

The incumbent provides supervisory Acquisition services to support the US Embassy in Rabat and the US Consulate General in Casablanca. S/he serves as the Mission's expert responsible for providing professional expertise and advice to ensure the full range of acquisition functions from solicitation to negotiation, award, administration, and close-out of numerous multi-million dollar awards vital to ensure successful attainment of the Mission's priorities. The position demands leadership and technical skills to oversee over 7 Million in annual acquisitions: (a) Acquisition Leadership and Planning, (b) Supervisory and Technical Training.


Qualifications and Evaluations


EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of six years of progressively responsible, professional acquisitions management or contracting experience including one additional year of prior supervisory experience is required.


Education Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or marketing or host country equivalent is required. 



  •  (Fluency) Speaking, Reading, Writing English is required. (This will be tested)

  •  (Fluency) Speaking, Reading, Writing French is required.(This may be tested)

  •  (Fluency) Speaking, Reading, Writing Arabic is required.


  • Must demonstrate ability to provide expert professional acquisition policy advice and guidance as well as the ability to simultaneously manage large dollar value contracts and a highly functioning procurement section with five procurement agents.

  • Must have excellent organizational and analytical skills in order to analyse, evaluate, negotiate, and summarize acquisition strategies and actions as well as recommendations to the Contracting Officer to orchestrate the best value for the US Government.

Agency Benefits:

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Morocco may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
