Summary:

The Tri-Missions Vienna are seeking eligible and qualified applicants for position of Voucher Examiner. Appointment is limited to 1 year, with the possibility for extension.

The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)

Duties

Basic Function:


Under the direct supervision of the Supervisory Financial Specialist, and indirectly by the Financial Management Officer (FMO), the incumbent provides voucher management services for all subscribed agencies. The incumbent's daily duty is to perform the examination of all types of vendor payments, from simple to complex. During the examination process, the incumbent reviews payments for accuracy, legality, and compliance with regulations. The incumbent prepares voucher payment packages for certification, including all necessary supporting documentation. The certifying officer relies on the incumbent to forward only those vouchers for certification that are correct, legal and proper for payment, and for ensuring proper form.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:

Two years of progressively more responsible work experience in finance, accounting, bookkeeping, or related financial field is required.


JOB KNOWLEDGE:

Thorough knowledge of financial principles and processes is required.


 

Education Requirements:

At least two years of college or university studies in finance, accounting, bookkeeping or related financial field.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:

Level 3 (Good Working Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing of English. This may be tested.


Level 4 (Fluency) Speaking/Reading/Writing of German. This may be tested.




SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 


Incumbent must be organized and a highly detailed-oriented team player with a customer service focus.


Incumbent must be proficient with a personal computer and related Microsoft Office software and be able to learn various computer software applications.


Professional written and oral skills are required.

Qualifications:

All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications and complete a mandatory probationary period for LE Staff.

For Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), locally-resident EFMs, working at the Tri-Missions Vienna, compensation also consists of the prorated 13th and 14th month payment in addition to the Euro salary above. The compensation package will include health, separation, and other benefits.


For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
