Duties

Basic Function of the Position:


Under the direct supervision of the Sofia PSU (Post Support Unit) Financial Specialist, the person in Administrative Assistant position provides key Post Support Unit functions of voucher management services to over 170 PSU client posts worldwide as well as travel and administrative support to CGFS (Controller and Global Financial Services) Sofia Post Support Unit (PSU) and Customer Support Desk with over 40 LE Staff.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:  Two to three years (full-time equivalent) increasingly responsible work experience in office management or administrative support is required.  Experience with Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) is also required.


JOB KNOWLEDGE: 


Extensive knowledge of office management and administrative support procedures, particularly with regards to Post Support Unit (PSU) voucher submission process is required.  Detailed knowledge of MS-Word word processing, Outlook, Excel spreadsheet, PowerPoint presentation usage is required. 

Education Requirements:

Possession of a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Economics or related field is required.

Level 4 English (fluent) speak/read/write is required.  Level 4 Bulgarian (fluent) speak/read/write is required.


 


SKILLS and ABILITIES:



  • Team player skills with customer service focus;

  • Strong organizational and highly-detail oriented skills;

  • Strong computer skills: proficiency with personal computer and related Microsoft software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and ability to learn various computer software;

  • Strong writing and oral communication skills: position requires all written and oral exchanges at a professional level.

  • Ability to correspond with both PSU management in all PSU offices (Charleston, Sofia, Bangkok and Manila)

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Bulgaria may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.


For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
