Summary:

The U.S. Mission in Kabul is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for position of Administrative Clerk with Regional Security Office.


The work schedule for this position is:

Duties

Under the supervision of the Supervisory Administrative Assistant, the incumbent provides administrative support to the Regional Security Office, Investigations Division. This includes analysis and maintenance of over 2500 LES investigation files, both in case files and electronic copies. Organizing investigation/vetting for Local Nationals (LNs) and TCNs from US Embassy Kabul, US Consulates, and other COM facilities throughout the country. Responsible for timely management of recertification for all LES, coordinate with RSO/SSC Badge office to renew yellow badges for LES & TCNs when required.


Provides customer service for other agencies throughout the Embassy, USAID, and local contractors about anything related to vetting, procedures for badge issuance for LNs and TCNs & security recertification; provides supplies and logistics orders for the RSO Investigations Office; serve as backup time-keeper for the RSO/Investigations office.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience as a Clerk or Administrative Assistant is required.


JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must be familiar with office administration. Need to have experience in working with Microsoft Office application and database management. Familiarity with U.S. Department of State and USAID rules and regulations is also desirable.

Education Requirements:

Completion of High School is required. 


 

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Level III (Good working knowledge) speaking/reading in English, Dari & Level I (limited) Pashto is required.


This may be tested.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


Computer literate to include Microsoft Office 2010 and use of access database, database utilities and good working   knowledge to work with Microsoft Office Excel. Working knowledge of other office applications in support of the high volume working environment. Needs to have the ability to manage several tasks at the same time such as handling multiple phone calls and inputting data at the same time. Should have some working knowledge of SharePoint.
