Summary:

The U.S. Consulate Sao Paulo is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Realty Assistant in the General Services Office.


The work schedule for this position is:



  • Full Time (40 hours per week)

Duties

Under the direct supervision of the Realty Supervisor, incumbent is the property manager for approximately 30 Consulate residences. Incumbent is the primary accountable employee in charge of the make-ready process and is the primary housing staff member responsible for responding to work orders for repair and maintenance requests at the Consulate residences within their portfolio. As project manager, incumbent liaises with Consulate teams in Facilities, Property, Security, POSHO, Procurement, and the Customer Service Center (CSC), as well as external parties to include landlords, realtors, building managers and contractors. The individual provides services to eight tenant agencies (State and Other Government Agencies).

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Prior work experience in managing projects, working in logistics, or in a field with significant administrative component is required.


JOB KNOWLEDGE: Strong working knowledge of project management. Relevant knowledge of local housing market. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, as well as PowerPoint and SharePoint.

Education Requirements:

Mandatory: A minimum of two years of university studies in required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: (This may be tested) Fluent in reading/writing/speaking in English is required. Fluent in reading/writing/speaking in Portuguese is required. 


SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (This may be tested) Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to generate reports and statistics. Ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite of products. Good communication skills, customer service abilities and tact when dealing with different levels of personnel or individuals. Ability to work independently with a high number of invested stakeholders under little direction. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to maintain a valid local class "B" driver's license.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
