The work schedule for this position is:

The Human Resources Clerk is responsible for processing all modifications to locally employed staff (LE Staff) personnel data and records, administers employment agreements between staff and the U.S. Mission, assists with the performance management program, and is responsible for maintaining the Official Personnel Folders (OPFs). S/he is supervised by the Human Resources Specialist.

Qualifications and Evaluations

EXPERIENCE: Two years of HR experience is required.

Education Requirements:

Two years (or completion of other equivalent post-secondary educational program or degree of post-secondary education (apprenticeship, vocational education or college studies) in Human Resources Management or local equivalent is required.


LANGUAGE:  Good working knowledge English and German language skills - speaking/reading/writing - are required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: please address this factor in your ERA application under major duties and responsibilities.

- Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) are required.
- Skills in working with databases is required.

Skills may be tested.

Benefits and Other Info

Agency Benefits:

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs),working at the U.S. Mission in Germany receive a compensation package that include German social security benefits (health, care, unemployment and pension insurance).


For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
