The work schedule for this position is:

  • Full Time (40 number of hours per week)

•    Drives INL Tunis armored and soft-skin vehicles as needed.


Incumbent serves as main administrative support for the Director, Deputy and INL section, utilizing applicable tools to advance INL Tunis programs. Incumbent processes documents; drafts and processes dip notes; maintains office calendar and contact system; schedules appointments; interprets and translates; maintains INL databases; prepares correspondence; manages special projects; acts as section timekeeper and section Class B sub cashier and other administrative tasks. Incumbent also develops, drafts, submits, and tracks purchase requests (PRs) and purchase orders (POs) through all phases towards acquisition. Incumbent supports EUM, Travel and Leahy Vetting functions and other tasks as needed. Incumbent acts as a second back up for the section Financial Analyst.

Qualifications and Evaluations


EXPERIENCE:  Three-plus years of relevant administrative work experience required.  

JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Advanced knowledge of MS Office functions including word processing systems, spreadsheets and databases. 

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a University in English or French; major in Business or other related field


LANGUAGE: Level IV (Advanced Proficiency) in English, French and Arabic required. 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Complex organizational skills.  Ability to work in a large team. Holds a driving license.

Agency Benefits:

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Tunis, Tunisia may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
