For non-UAE national, the Mission assists in obtaining the required residency visa to lawfully work in the UAE. Basic Function of the Position:
The Investigator provides guidance and assistance to LEGATT Office on all criminal, investigative, legal and socio-political issues, and in the development, functioning, administration, maintenance, and reporting of all aspects of investigative programs, inclusive of criminal investigations, comprehensive counter-terrorism investigations, data analysis, liaison activities, training and translation. The Investigator defines program goals in consultation with the LEGATT and Assistant Legal Attaché, devises work-plans to achieve said goals, plans and initiates investigations in the full spectrum of LEGATT activities, advises Mission personnel in LEGATT/UAE’s Area of Responsibility and other government officers in matters of fraud, criminal proceedings, and other issues on a routine basis. Actively liaises and assists in the joint investigative efforts of the LEGATT and UAE police agencies. Acts as a consultant and primary point-of-contact to numerous external host government, non-government, third-country, law enforcement and private sector contacts, researches/receives/stores/drafts/edits/disseminates all pertinent information and correspondence, ensures all investigative functions are completed in a timely, efficient and appropriate manner, provides translation support and performs other administrative duties, as directed by the Attaché and/or Assistant Attaché.
