The incumbent serves as post’s subject matter expert (SME) on classification and is the liaison between Post management, the Human Resources (HR) Office and Post’s supporting Regional Classification Center (RCC). Also responsible for specific HR functions including but not limited to, recruitment, performance, in-processing/checking out and processing personnel actions. Maintains personnel records and files; prepares recurring and non-recurring reports. This position support a locally employed staff community that exceeds 1,200 positions and reports to the HR Specialist and through that position to the U.S. direct-hire Human Resources Officer (HRO)

Qualifications and Evaluations


Experience: Three years of progressively responsible experience in human resources or administrative field is required.

Job Knowledge: Substantive knowledge of the organization and functions of sections and agencies of the Mission is required.

Education Requirements:

 University degree in human resources, business administration, education, psychology, law, literature or social sciences is required.


Language:  English and Arabic Level IV (Fluent)

Skills and Abilities:  Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Agency Benefits:

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Cairo/Egypt) may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
