Summary:

The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu, Nepal is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Account Receivable Assistant. This position is open to all interested applicants.


The work schedule for this position is full time (40 hours per week).


Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties

Incumbent will be preparing Account/Receivable statements on monthly basis. Provide statement to USDH employees and agencies. Coordinate with cashier to get payment status of Account/Receivable. Incumbent performs a wide variety of high level administrative and secretarial duties in support of the FMO activities and office operations.  Incumbent has to work on Department of State financial systems to process Representational and ORE vouchers. 


 


 

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:  At least two years of progressively responsible work in voucher examining, book keeping or accounting/auditing experience is required. 


JOB KNOWLEDGE: A broad working knowledge of requirements of voucher examining, invoice auditing and procedures associated with voucher preparation is required.

Education Requirements:

Completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics or Accounting is required.

LANGUAGE: Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing English is required. Level IV (Fluent)speaking/reading/writing Nepali is required.  English language ability will be tested.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Computer literate with excellent knowledge of a variety of software packages, including State Departments financial operations software. Confidence and ability to quickly learn complicated software packages.  Effective communication with customer and team work is required.  Ability to work independently with little supervision.  Strong mathematical skills, also in time management and electronic records control.
