Duties

Performs all duties of a security escort by monitoring and escorting non-cleared visitors, personnel, and contractors while on the Consulate Compound or in Consulate Housing. Responsible to control the drinking water supplies and distribute water bottle throughout the Consulate Compound. Assists tradesmen in the skilled trade occupations by performing routine duties of the trade and working with the journeyman as instructed.


 

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:  Prior work experience in the service or manual sector including a minimum of one-year of experience as a trade helper or janitor is required.


JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, regular cleaning products, materials and safety. Familiarity with use of ladders and safety equipment. Knowledge of security protocols per Post and Department of State regulations. Semi-skilled level knowledge of trade practices, tools, and procedures of multiple trades.


 

Education Requirements:

Completion of elementary school is required.


 

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:  Level II (Basic) in writing/reading/speaking-Portuguese is required. This may be tested.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Must be observant, flexible, and service oriented. Must be able to lift 15 to 20 kilograms.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
