Summary:

The U.S. Mission in Brasília is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Computer Systems Analyst in the Information Systems Office (ISO).


The work schedule for this position is:

Duties

The incumbent is responsible for updating, modifying and expanding the Embassy essential functional applications such as web, SharePoint, payroll, accounting, and personnel data system, which have impact on countrywide mission operations. Incumbent is also responsible for database management, maintenance of telecommunication systems and information systems documentation in order to meet needs and requirements of Embassy departments.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Experience as Computer Programmer/Analyst using the following programming languages including Java, C++, C-Sharp, .Net, ADVPL(TOTVS), SharePoint and Crystal Reports. Network progressive work experience in LAN administration is required.


JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of programming in order to assure the continued effective operation of all locally developed or modified software designed to provide automation support to post personnel. Superior working knowledge of the Microsoft Lan/WAN/Cloud environment.

Education Requirements:

University degree in computer science is required.


 

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Level IV (Fluent) reading/writing/speaking in both English and Portuguese is required. (This may be tested)


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Ability to convert and analyze requirements into inter-linked computer-based procedures and systems. Skills in designing and maintaining databases, troubleshooting computer hardware and software problems.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Brasilia may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.


For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
