Duties

The incumbent works as the Access Control Coordinator in the Regional Security Office (RSO). S/he manages the RSO Access Control Program and the Embassy Badge Program, to include working with all Embassy sections to ensure the proper level of access is granted to employees, TDYers, and visitors. S/he instructs the Local Guard Force (LGF), Security Receptionist Unit (SRU), Ambassador’s Protection Detail (APD), and Marine Security Guards (MSG) on the Chief of Mission (COM) Access Policy, the screening of visitors and vehicles entering the Embassy compound, and VIP access procedures. The incumbent also handles the issuing of Embassy badges and Hirsch codes and maintains accountability of all lost, stolen, and expired badges. In addition, s/he is in charge of verifying clearances of incoming personnel as well as maintaining a database of all clearance and badging data for PCS employees. The incumbent must be able to obtain and hold Top-Secret security clearance.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: 2 years of administrative or access control/badging technician experience is required.

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of Secondary School or Local Mandatory Schooling and received high school diploma.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Fluent English is required.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Experience with Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and other computer based applications.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
