Duties

The incumbent, under the supervision of the American Information Systems Officer, is responsible for all aspects related to the operation of Zagreb's OpenNet Local Area Network (LAN) and Dedicated Internet Network (DIN) LAN.  Responsible for the installation, administration, and maintenance of computer applications on the network servers and local hard drives; planning for local area network hardware and software configurations, user support, implementation of system security; and diagnostics and troubleshooting of the OpenNet LAN and DIN hardware, software, and network backbone.  Maintains Zagreb's computer equipment and services all OpenNet and DIN customers, including all remote tail circuit locations.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of 5 years working in a technical position with LAN/WAN operations, management, and utilization of computer systems.


JOB KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrated advanced knowledge of networking technologies, mobile, Windows server administration, SQL database administration, desktop hardware troubleshooting and maintenance, end user applications such as Microsoft Office 365 Cloud application suite, Contact Relationship Management, and UTP and fiber optic cabling.  Must be able to handle project management from inception to resolution.

Education Requirements:

A university degree in the field of computer science or Information Technology is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:  Level IV (fluent) English (This will be tested) and Level IV (fluent) Croatian 


SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Efficient and effective management of resources making up LAN/WAN network.  Must be able to work without direct supervision.  Good customer service skills are essential.  Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
