Summary:

The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (48hours per week). The incumbent shall be available to work on a flexible schedule including occasional evening and/or weekend duty and regular overtime to be responsive to project's needs. 


Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (two months) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

The incumbent will be required to make  trips some of which may require occasional out-of-town stays.

Duties

The incumbent operates safely and efficiently an unarmored U.S. Government-owned or leased motor vehicle to transport passengers and/or cargo. The incumbent works as a messenger and administrative clerk as directed.


He/she assumes duty driver responsibility on a full time basis.  He/she may be required to make trips that require out-of-town stays. He/she Maintains vehicle in a clean and serviceable condition, to include cleaning the interior and exterior of the vehicle.  He/she performs basic vehicle inspection in accordance with established schedules and policies.   


 


 As directed, he/she perform administrative work; including, but not limited to, electronic and paper filing, coordinating transportation and messenger schedules, and maintaining basic reports and logs. 


 


 

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: At least three (03) years of professional driving experience is required. 


JOB KNOWLEDGE:   



  • Must have good knowledge of the Mission Organization.

  • Must have good working knowledge of the city and its environment, including driving routes and traffic patterns.

  • Must be familiar with the location of hospitals, police and fire stations within the city and its immediate surroundings.

  • He/she provides other administrative support as assigned by the Project Director.

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school is required.


 

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: 



  • level II (Limited Knowledge) Speaking, Reading, Writing English is required. (This will be tested)

  • level III (Good working knowledge) Speaking French is required. (This may be tested)

  • level III (Good working knowledge) Speaking Darija is required. (This may be tested)


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  



  • Must hold a valid driver's license.

  • Must have the ability to read maps and plan driving routes.

  • Must have good verbal communication skills, and an ability to handle all persons with professionalism and discretion.

  • Must be able to perform basic vehicle inspection and must possess intermediate level automotive maintenance skills.

  • Must have basic computer skills to draft and maintain reports, organize files, and for communication purposes.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Morocco may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
