The work schedule for this position is:

The person in the position of Computer Programmer takes part in the full software development life cycle of both new and existing ADG (Application
Development Group) Software Applications. This includes planning, requirements gathering, software design and
architecture, implementation, testing and integration, deployment, maintenance and support. Main responsibilities are the
design and implementation of software applications. Additionally, responsibilities include mentoring less experienced
colleagues, interacting with stakeholders, providing tier II and III level support to customers, which includes users and IT
specialists, at all US diplomatic missions that use ADG-owned and supported software applications.
The position is supervised directly by the local Regional Support Center (RSC) Lead Application Programmer.

Qualifications and Evaluations


EXPERIENCE: Total nine (9) years (full-time equivalent) of dedicated experience as an application developer or computer programmer required. Within these eight (9) years, two (2) years of experience as a web application developer at a medium to large-sized firm required.

Business analysis experience or documenting user requirements.
• Experience with the Visual Studio IDE.
• Advanced knowledge of C# / .NET / .NET Core
• Solid debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD)
• Experience creating web user interfaces using ASP.NET MVC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery, React,
Angular or other modern JavaScript frameworks
• Experience with database development including relational database design, SQL, and ORM technologies
including Entity Framework.
• Experience with user interface design and prototyping.
• Knowledge in Computer Networking (TCP/IP, HTTP(S)).
• Experience in performance optimization and profiling of web applications.
• Deep understanding of cyber-security in cloud.
• Experience with software design and architecture
• Experience with DevOps including continuous integration and deployment
• Experience with Cloud Architecture and Platforms such as Microsoft Azure
• Systems integration experience.
• User support experience (a plus)
• Experience with assisting and training personnel in network and cloud applications

Education Requirements:

EDUCATION: Secondary school (high school) required.

Agency Benefits:

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
